Past time expressions
Past time phrases usually go at the START or END of a sentence: 'Yesterday I went…' / 'I went… yesterday.' Use 'ago' AFTER a time period: 'two days ago'.

Tell your partner about your weekend in 1 minute. Use at least 3 past time expressions.
Strategy
Order: Saturday → Sunday. Use 'In the morning / afternoon / evening'. End with a feeling word ('It was great / quiet / busy').
Example
On Saturday morning I had a lie-in. Then I went shopping. In the evening I watched a film. On Sunday I stayed at home. It was a quiet weekend.
